The federal government has issued another one of its famous “Action Plans,” this time with the goal of ending the protest by container truck drivers at Port Metro Vancouver.
Technically the proposal is a “Joint Action Plan” because it was “collectively agreed to” by two levels of government (federal and provincial) and Port Metro Vancouver. Missing from that collective list, however, are the United Truckers Association (UTA) and Unifor-Vancouver Container Truckers’ Association (VCTA), whose members are on strike.
